So easy to use, I was taken aback
I'm not too sure what other reviewers are doing but when I read some of the feedback on this and the other one with a few more features, I was seriously worried about all the youtube videos and how it does not have a guide book etc that others were complaining about. I bought this because I really do not like google authenticator and waiting 3 days to get into an account is not helpful when it gets reset. I went on the link on the back of the pack and clicked the provider I am using. Sure enough it got me to the same page I researched on my provider for 2FA. I had made sure it was a product that they recommended should work. I activated the 2FA, put in the key and tapped it once, then twice and before you know it, I was in. Now I log out and come back in and only have to tap the side once and there is no problem logging in. I think reading what the product recommended by the website actually helped. I just wish the product was a little cheaper so that more people could have this option at a more reasonable price. Aslo, making sure the little critter stays safe and does not get mislaid is a must. If out my laptop I pop it in a special box for all my tiny gadgets so it does not get mislaid, I don'c carry the thing around personally.

If you want to protect your social media account with hardware 2FA, this is a very good solution.

ok but...
It works, but users should be aware that google's current implemenation (dec 2025) of fido2 doesnt work. So you can add a 5c to your google account and use it to log in, BUT you wont be able to use the 5c to reauthenticate a google session - so you will never be able to access sensitive info via the 5c, so no access to passkeys, authenticator app, password change and so forth, and google wont ever help you (other than via their deeply useless chatbot). Also the more you try to find a way round the issue, the more google's implementation falls apart - strongly recomend not doing this

Secure and Easy to Use
I had been looking at one of these MFA Keys to Enhance security for my Accounts and i decided to take the chance. Easy to install and Use you can set up the device to work on most Services and once set up your good to go. Worked on Windows 10 and Mac OS without issues. Get you and protect yourself without worrying about losing Your Phone or 2 Factor SMS codes this is the Future

Perhaps not as secure as you might imagine?
Maybe I don't get it? But I think there's a whole load of reviews out there from people who do not understand that this thing is not providing the security they think it is? Let me explain: Imagine having a front door with a terrible lock on it, so bad that any rusty old key could open it. So you invest in fabulous new high security lock and fit that to the door. The lock is impenetrable and totally secure. You feel reassured. But then you come home one day and having forgotten your new key, you just go around the back of the house and enter with the rusty old key in the old lock in the back door! You have a lovely new secure front door lock but the house is no more secure than it was previously. This is exactly how it is with Yubikey and the vast majority of software out there. Since the old access methods usually still work - and in most cases there is now way to disable them, it's hard to see how Yubikey is providing any additional security at all. Take Microsoft, for example: Having set up Yubikeys to be able to login to your MS account or emails, can a hacker simply say "sorry I don't have my Yubikey - give me the other login methods"? Yes they can. There is no way to disable them. Google is the same. It sets the Yubikey as the default authentication mode, but still sends Google push authentication codes out if a hacker asks it to. You cannot switch them off. So you are in bed at night have asleep and your phone buzzes. Fumbling around in the dark you pick up your phone and accidentally hit accept by mistake and the hacker is in, with no Yubikey. Your emails are downloaded in an instant with information from your bank and his knows what else. Scary! FIDO2 and U2F are fantastic improvements over traditional password-based authentication but only if implemented properly and in particular if their use is enforced. The trouble is, it invariably is not enforced. I do not know why, but I can speculate that perhaps it is service providers worried about thousands of users losing their Yubikeys and inadvertently locking themselves out, and then the ensuing support overhead and bad publicity from angry customers? So they leave access via the backdoor still available. The only service I have found that seems very secure is Google with their Advanced Protection Program. Once enrolled, authentication can be by security key ONLY, so none of the above then applies. But until other providers start offering the same, the benefits of Yubikey are hugely negated.

1passwordと組み合わせて利用。自身に万が一があった最にこれと1passwordで全てのアカウントへログイン出来るよう遺言状残して活用。 静的パスワードを残せるのも良いと思うのでオススメです。
