It is hard to rate a book that is required reading, and this book is required for the Clean Needle Technique course and exam that is part of the process of acupuncture licensing. The book presents the necessary information in a clear and straightforward way, and is as interesting as a text of this type can be. It is not an overwhelming amount of information, which I appreciate since I am also studying for the national acupuncture exam. Another reviewer mentioned that one must buy a brand new copy of this book, not another person's used copy, for the Clean Needle exam. That is not so; there is no "oversight" as to where you purchase your book. The only requirement is that the book be the most current edition. That is not a moneymaking ploy; it is simply to ensure that the most current knowledge and laws and practices around needle technique are included in the book, which is periodically updated. And for all the thousands of dollars spent in the entire process of becoming an acupuncturist, this is a relative bargain!

This is a must have for the needle cleaning course that is required for acupuncture license procedure. Everything that you need to know for the test is in the book.

I am glad for the opportunity to review this book. It is a good outlet for the annoyance I feel at being forced to purchase it. The book ($34.95) and its accompanying course ($135.00) is compulsory in order to get licensed (at least in my state). They are both procured through the "Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM"). One may not take the course without purchasing the book, which must be the latest edition and may not be borrowed or copied from someone who has previously taken the test. The editions change frequently. I galls me that the same agency that sets the standards stands to profit from their own requirements. Clean needle technique is important but there is no reason why acupuncture schools cannot incorporate this information into their curriculum (as do nursing schools).

Everyone has to buy it for CNTIt's ok about the content but seems a little expensive.I hope it is useful for the test.

It was very informative. It broke each section down for more user friendly application. I would recommend this book for CNT class.

Had to get this book for a needleing class. The info is laid out easily and it is a quick read.

This book is useful for class taking. It help me pass the class exam and I recomend it to others who want to take the clearn needle class.
