All I know is this particular brand is LOVED by every single one of my 9 cats, ages ranging from 6 weeks to 4 years!! It has a very natural fresh meat and fish like scent that I assume cats love. The morsels were smaller in bite size and felt almost like a semi soft chewy cookie when I picked one up and tried squeezing it to check the texture of this food everyone seems to love. This was the only dry food the newborn kittens took an interest to try and then they loved it! Their older siblings and mom & dad always went after the bowl with this brand in it so I had to watch the kittens eat before the older ones licked the bowl clean. Besides the great response I got from every one of my cats, I understand it's very organic and healthy for their diet. I do see that the cats all seem to be more active than before they started eating this brand. Even the adult cats are full of energy so they all spend more time playing and grooming than just sleeping. So with all the cats seeming to be satisfied, happy and healthy, this was a satisfying, happy and healthy buy for me.. especially with a price tag that was more affordable than other brands within the same line of quality. My cats deserve the best and this is the brand of choice where I no longer need to try anything new.

The smell isn’t over powering, my cats stills don’t stink to the heaves and it’s fresh quality that’s easily digestible. It’s a great value for the money.

I have a young cat, not quite a year old but a “big kitten” and finicky. We tried several “healthy” brands of dry because that’s what he’d been used to when we got him. This was the winner.

Our cats love this food, and it is easy on their digestive and urinary tracts. Quality ingredients and mid-priced. We are moving to the adult food on our next order as our cats are now 10 months. No problems.

Our 5 month old kittens were constantly having digestive problems, until our vet suggested I look into changing their food. After some research, I decided to try this, mainly because it is grain free. Worked like a charm. Kittens love the food and their stomachs are much better now. It does cost more than other brands, but it is well worth it. I will stay with this brand even when they are not bound to "kitten" food any more. It is so much nicer to live in the house where cats don't run to the litter box every 30 minutes. Oh, and their coats are much shinier and so silky to the touch.

My 9-month-old kitten has been eating Royal Canin since he was about 2-months-old. I tried switching him to blue buffalo freedom a few months ago, and he didn't like it and would always spit it out and only eat royal canin. About a month ago, I noticed he was shedding excessively (it may have been that he was loosing his kitten hair and getting his adult coat) and wanted to try something grain-free again. So I switched him back to BB freedom. Oddly, this time he just loved it and started eating it right away! A month has passed, and he's NO LONGER SHEDDING (again, it may have been that it was weather-related or just that he was shedding his kitten fur). Also, he used to be mildly constipated (what I call rabbit turds) when he was eating RC, and now he's doing much better with that too. Overall, he seems very content with the new dry food!

We prefer to feed wet food, but as I noted in a different review, our kittens don't all like the wet food flavor from the same company. So this is a good alternative to that. It is grain-fee, which we like, and our kittens eat it well. They have nice coats, but not as silky as the one who eats the wet food. We use it extensively when we travel, as we leave the kittens at home overnight. This food works well in our auto-feeders, and we can set them up for a few days without worry.
