I have to admit over the years I have purchased cheaper alternatives, but they just don't do the job that this lead does. This one fits perfectly into my kindle fire (original and the new one) without the need to lie it flat because other cheaper leads don't fit snug. This one fits perfect. I have 4 kindles, so I now have a lead in each room for them. The original leads can't be beat and over time certainly works out cheaper. Good Quality Charges my kindles (and Bluetooth headphones) Fast charge Value for money Good quality. Along with the Amazon Fastcharge plug, my kindles are charged in a fraction of the time. allowing me to put my feet up and read. How can that not be a win win situation. Ordered and delivered in less than 24 hours … Now that's a great service.

Lasts for only a couple of months, you can extend its use for a bit more by using insulated tape - kind of like duct tape but much safer. However I find myself buying this product every 5 months or so, it has the same durability as an iPhone usb cable which is really bad. (From my experience) The wires inside the cable could be insulated/protected better in my opinion. The more you bend it over time the more flimsy it gets, when some wires exposed I taped it - although taping it doesn't fix the issue altogether. I noticed the charging speed slows considerably when the cable has degraded from use over time. I'm just hanging on 3 stars, due to the price not being too high. Unlike Apple who have a ridiculous price tag of £25 just for a usb charge cable. I bought an alternative cable which is way cheaper and actually has better protection and insulation. For the Kindle Fire I think this charger is 'okay', it depends how long it will last you. Considering how the price isn't too bad, I've given it a fair rating. It serves its purpose, for a while.

Ordered this cable to charge my Kindle Fire, as the original cable was very loose and it took ages to charge, after I read that this cable is also charging other devices I thought I plug it in my Samsung Tablet S2 that wouldn't charge up with the original charger cable, and after I tried numerous cables but with same result, in the end my tablet just remained "dead" and I thought I have to either have it repaired or get a new one... Come to the point, this cable arrived yesterday and I just plugged it in to my Samsung Tablet just to see what it does... It's a perfect fit, sits snug in the socket and the charging speed is brilliant. I've got my Tablet working again. Love it!!!!

Il miglior cavo usb in circolazione! Carica rapida, qualità ottima, lunghezza perfetta, spinotti veramente ottimi e ottima resistenza del cavo. Ne ho avuto uno per anni e nonostante dopo averlo maltrattato, portato ovunque ( vista la sua lunghezza e quindi comodità lo usavo per caricare di tutto, anche in viaggio ) e averlo spellato, graffiato e disintegrato esteriormente ancora funziona egregiamente! Ne ho comprati altri 2 per mandare in pensione quello vecchio che era diventato impresentabile ormai, anche se perfettamente funzionante. Veramente il top dei cavi usb!

This charger is high quality, well made and thick, strong cable. It works perfectly for my old, non-touch screen kindle which is not a kindle Fire.

I still have my first Kindle Fire, which apparently never worked correctly, but how could I know, when I had never had one before? It went through cables as if it was eating them, but I expected more from the shiny new Fire. It runs well and has a pretty good GUI (graphical user interface), but keeping it charged has been a problem. I went through two (maybe three) cables before getting this one. What a difference! I can actually feel and almost hear when this jack gets seated in the charging receptacle. Always before I was nursing the damned thing to make sure it stayed in. Then I had to wedge the plug with a flat stick or heavy cardboard to keep it straight in its outlet, to jeep it from wiggling out of making the connection to charge. After going two days not touching the damned thing--just leaving it untouched after carefully arranging the cable with its jack wedge to keep the proper angle so the charging icon stayed on, then relieving any stress from the cable on the jack by securing the cable in a loose loop, and finally backing slowly and quietly so as not to disturb anything--I turned it on and I got the red battery on the black background! No words or numbers even! It actually LOST the 20% or so of power it had when I walked away, and it went down to almost nothing while it was supposed to be charging for two days. I called Amazon and talked to customer support, telling him he HAD to find me a cable that actually fit the bloody machine so I could charge it--and so HE had to pick one out. And I would get it. But I wouldn't PAY for it, because I had already gone through this at least once (I really think twice) before, always buying the one Amazon recommended--only not to have it work. So he picked one, he placed the order, it went through my account with me paying for it, and then he arranged the refund. And it works. It's even longer than the previous one, which had literally kept me on a short leash. Now I have five feet, I am tangibly certain that the jack has seated in the receptacle, and life with Fire is good again.
