I'm very happy with my purchase. The chain is not 14 Karat white gold but the stone is set in that material. Still, I don't mind because the color looks similar enough that nobody is really going to notice. I can always change out the chain if I want to. The color of the stone is very true blue. It's not the dark navy blue that I see in so many sapphires. The true blue is my preference, so I'm very happy with the color. The size of the stone is impressive. It looks far more expensive than it is. I'm a petite woman (5'1") and have small hands, and the stone is about the size of the end of my pinky finger. So happy with the necklace that I'm thinking of splurging on the earrings that match.

My oldest grandchild turned 16 the September. I wanted to give her something to remember that special day for ever. I thought about her birthstone and called my daughter to see if she thought she would like it. Being 16 she is particular when it comes to jewelry. She absolutely loved it! It is a simple but elegant piece and I am so happy that she has a memory of her sixteenth and a memory of Poppy and MiMi!

I was worried this would look too cheap or wouldn't be good enough for my wife as a birthday gift. The only reason I bought it was because of the 30 day guarantee and I figured I had plenty of time to send it back if need be. Now the reason for buying this is I bought my wife a 5,000 engagement ring with a sapphire as the main stone and I wanted to buy her something that complimented her ring if she wanted to dress up a bit. I also bought the matching earrings. I figured she could wear one or both, whatever she chose to do. I also showed it to my mom and her mom before deciding to keep it. I was pretty impressed with both the earrings and this necklace. They were both a deep blue that matched her ring. The only part I don't know if I liked was the checkerboard style cut on the stone. The other women ooohed and awwed though when I showed them, so I'm pretty happy with it overall. I don't believe it looked cheap at all. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and I'm sure my wife will be happy very soon also.

The pendant looks great and she loves it. But I thought it was worth noting when she opened it the box fell apart. Kinda ruined the moment. Maybe I just got a defected box because not many other people have this issue. But was fairly disappointing, necklace was nice tho.
