Strikeforce-B -B 4.9:1 Gear ratio U/L Action SF1000, Silver

Well made little fishing reel. I used this yesterday and caught a mess of bream and white bass. Use the suggested line of 2-4 lb test. Any bigger may get tangled up. The reel itself is small but has good weight and I could tell it was a strong reel for it's size. Worth the price for sure.

At this price point I find this reel hard to beat. It is really light so it pairs with smaller ultralight rods really well. It is smooth as butter. I can cast a 1/48oz jig on 2lb mono pretty decently. This is a perfect reel for a cheaper ultralight setup when you just feel like catching fish. I have this in the 1000 series.

Great little reel use it constantly no problems

This paired with an ultralight 5’ rod is perfect for the pond at my place. Throwing a beetle spin and small crank baits. Reel is smooth and paired with 10 pound braid casts real well. Definitely worth $20.

I bought the Daiwa Strikeforce reel last November in preparation for our annual trout trip up in NW Arkansas. The trip fell through but since they also stock trout here in Texas, I was excited to put this reel to the test. Pared with a light 6ft rod and 4 lb Fluorocarbon line, them trout didn't stand a chance. It has the smoothest and quietest crank I've ever experienced for a reel in that price range. I actually loved the performance of this reel so much that it has become my "best all around fishing reel". Crappie, largemouth on drop-shot, even pulled in a 3lb blue cat the other day. This little reel is great. Works very well. Casts light lures a long way and the bail does not need to be flipped over by hand. Just crank it and it flips. I have Much more expensive Pfluger that won’t even do that. I do wish the anti-reverse lever was metal instead of plastic. Otherwise super happy with it.

Works like a reel 3x the price. A true bargain.

Ok, so to be fair I have not tried it out yet which why I gave it 4 stars. Right out the box it definitely feels like premium quality build but we have yet to see how durable it is. I really do like the way it feels and will be great for a light, ultra light build. I added 10lb braided Spiderwire line. I will give an update after several uses.
