(y1-y2)^2 = (y2-y1)^2. I did not find errors in this book. This is a superbly organized book, dense with information that is presented in a format that never overwhelmes with fluff. I have kids with ADHD and this has been the best math book. To the point explanations, followed by a few examples and plenty practice. Solutions are included, along with generous explanations. Easy to follow, well written and somewhat addictive to those of us who don;t like to sit still and browse through the "gentle" fluffy explanations. Helpful explanations
Great explanations, now if only my daughter would stop crying almost every time we get it out. We are working through this book all summer before she takes the class in the next school year. I keep telling her math isn’t hard, it just gets more complex. She doesn’t like that.

Good Information
I ended up returning this only because I didn’t have the time to use it before my class started. But I flipped through it a few times and it had a lot of good information including a refresher on things you needed to know before taking precal.

Made an A in my college course
I read this book and took notes a month before the course started. The book helps give me an outline of what to expect at university. I was making a 98 but make an 87 on my final, dropping the total grade to a 94. If I was able to do it over again, I would encourage more trig practice. Most people do not have exposure to trig and pre calculus was the first time I was introduced to trigonometry. This book really helped me a lot. I doubt I would have gotten an A or even passed if I didn't decide to buy this on impulse. Make sure you use the workbook part to help solidify your understanding.

Helpful, but need other sources
I wouldn’t say this is for “dummies.” I have a basic understand of pre cal, trig, etc from my college days, but I’m preparing to retake pre calculus as a pre req for an education program. The examples and lessons could be worded better, sometimes it’s hard to follow along (specifically the lessons on radicals, it’s very confusing and the author doesn’t necessarily always explain why to do certain things certain ways, and that context is important as a student). I’ve also found a few errors, it may have been a printing error, but still frustrating nonetheless when I check my work to see the answer key has a key element of the problem (like a minus sign) that totally throws off my answer/not matching what the problem was in the homework. It’s a nice refresher, but please only use this if you just need a refresher, and not starting from square 1. You will be lost.

Explains with many examples different types of problems. Good for students home school students and give better sample and in-depth understanding than the so called official books school books. I will say through that I did have to complement this with some YouTube instructional videos when my son got stuck
