must go on the same way the old one came off
Muffler fit perfect, fit right over the older exhaust pipe with just a clamp. Would order again from seller. Be sure to measure before you cut the old exhaust pipe.

Dented Muffler
Muffler was a perfect fit. Shipping could have been better. Item arrived dented, but I needed so I used it anyways.

PERFECT FIT AND QUIET!!!!
So I ordered this and the straight pipe and the front muffler and installed them in 2 hours. You will need 3- 2 1/4 exhaust clamps. You will also need a cut-off wheel or a reciprocating saw to remove the old exhaust components as the two mufflers are welded to the straight pipe between them. Also the clamp on the front muffler must be cut off as it is also welded together during the manufacturing process. If you are even mildly handy then this will not be a problem. Just make sure to orient the mufflers in their correct positions and this goes together easily. If any of the piece come a little out of round just use as a ball peen hammer or some vice grips to fix them up. Good luck and if all else fails.....Youtube it. Deuce

Good quality
Exhaust tip pipe is not made for a 2016 model year Terrain with a bumper cut out on the driver's side for the exhaust tip. This muffler will fit however, but you will have to do some reworking of the exhaust tip for it to look correct. I knew this ahead of time and am handy with a welder, so it didn't bother me. This muffler is specifically for earlier models that did not have the bumper cutouts, so if that's what you have, it will fit perfectly without any cutting or welding. Overall, it's excellent quality and easy to install yourself with one new exhaust clamp. Satisfied with the purchase.

Perfect fit
Excellent replacement muffler. Solid construction and lighter than oe. Flow is improved with equal or less audible tone than oe. Pipe fits tightly into factory pipe and seals well and securely with 2.25 in lap joint band clamp. I expect it to last 100k++

It was pretty banged up and dented right out of the box. Thinking all of it happened at factory as box was not messed up.
