Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Centipede Grass Seed & Mulch thrives in sandy, acidic soils, and sunny areas. It combines mulch and seed to grow a thick, low-maintenance lawn. Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Centipede Grass Seed & Mulch is designed for full sun and light shade, and has a medium bladed texture with medium drought resistance. It can be used to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing lawn. For best results, apply in the late spring or early summer when air temperatures are consistently between 70°F and 90°F and the danger of frost has passed. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 5 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Centipede Grass Seed & Mulch has a new lawn coverage of 665 sq. ft. and an overseeding coverage of 2,000 sq. ft.

I aerated the ground first, added seeds and then the Scott’s triple action growth formula for seeds/sod and then aerated lightly again which pushed seeds into the ground a little. Started to take off quickly. First attempt when I did not aerate showed no signs of growth

**Q: Does this contain fertilizer ? If so, what is the Nitrogen-Phosphorus-Potassium equation?**
A: It is mostly mulch and hardly any seed.

**Q: Can you apply in fall in the deep south or should i wait till spring?  thanks.**
A: You should be able to apply it in the fall as long as you are watering sufficiently.  People often make the mistake of not watering plants just because it's cool.  Fall planting would actually give the plants more time to get started.  I planted Bermuda grass with my centipede knowing that centipede "sleeps, creeps and leaps" and takes a number of years to get thick and established enough to crowd out other weeds and grasses.

**Q: What kind of grass seeds should i use in san antionio tx 78148 /have two lager trees / and lots of sun / tem 100 +**
A: Tall fescue is a cool season grass. It goes dormant in hot summer months but does well in cool spring & fall. I wouldn't plant that in San Antonio. I would plant Bermuda,  carpet grass or centipede.

A: Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Centipede Grass Seed combines mulch and seed to grow a thick, low-maintenance lawn. Seedlings will begin to emerge in 10-28 days under ideal conditions. This is not when all of the seeds will germinate just when the grass will first start coming up. The recommended air temperature for planting grass seed is when temperatures are consistently between 60 - 85 degrees.
