I was surprised about the quality of this soil. It is very light weight and not the typical type of bonsai soil without the gravel. I mixed it with the bonsai gravel mix but you really don’t have too.

I bought this soil for a little bonsai tree I rescued on the clearance rack at Lowe's. I don't know anything about bonsai trees so I just started researching and this soil is what I found. I have to say this soil is fantastic, it is a very good quality, the mix is exactly the way it should look and be. The contents of the bag fit perfectly in my little pot so it was spot on in the amount that you get. It drains easily and does not hold water around your tree's root system. It look like there was a perfect mix of dirt, bark, etc. I think it was a great value for my money, and although I don't know a whole lot about bonsai trees, I do know that my little bonsai tree is doing fantastic now and I'm glad I rescued it.
