Thanks** A: Here are both the inside/outside dimensions (by tape measure) of the item I purchased: Outside: 14" X 18-3/4"; Inside: 12" X 17" Most of the difference is due to having a gasketed waterproof lip and room for the very secure hinge fasteners. This case is fully as good as, if not better than, a Pelican case, but much less expensive; I'm happy with the one I bought. P.S. the outside dimensions are what you need for carry-on luggage restrictions, and the 925 has always passed muster on the flights I've taken. **Q: Will this case hold a 4.5 in diameter by 11.5 inch lens?** A: Yes.
