I use all DeWalt so I needed a battery adapter and it worked fine on my DeWalt batteries. I wish DeWalt made something like this but currently they don't. But other than those 2, Ryobi is a great choice for the DIY person. **Q: Is this for lighter work as oppose to the 18 gauge narrow crown p360 version?** A: Hi, yes this is for lighter work. It does work great and very impressed with the battery life. **Q: Will this staple 1/4" plywood to ceiling rafters?** A: Don't think I'd recommend that as the primary method but it will do it with 9/16 staples, I'd only suggest it as a quick way to temporarily attach. Your question got me thinking and I did test attaching a piece of scrap 1/4 to some pine and it did do it (you would only get about 5/16 of staple through a 1/4" of material. using the maximum 9/16 staples) **Q: Would this work as a carpet stapler? Stairways and corners?** A: I’m not sure, I’ve used it for insulation mostly. I don't know how many staples I put back, but I counted one of six chairs and figured that I pulled out about 1200.
