**Q: what batteries are required**
A: Two AA batteries.

**Q: Does this work on take and play please?**
A: No it only works on trackmaster, super station or super cruiser takes both take and play and trackmaster

**Q: Can this train be used as a push along one on a flat surface without the track. Thank you**
A: My son pushes it along the floor and still works on the track too. Not sure it is meant too but he is 3 so he just goes with it. Hope that helps.

**Q: Will it run on any wooden track**
A: It is designed for the plastic trackmaster. My son has had them on a wooden track too and they sometimes get stuck or fall off. Sometimes they work fine. Depends on what you have I guess.
