Review: Yes it works, but... - Yes it works, but when you try to remove it, it is extremely difficult to unscrew. A little oil rubbed into the threads before you use it helps a lot, but even then you don't want to tighten it down too much. If you intend to keep it attached permanently, the ring is fine.

Yes it works, but when you try to remove it, it is extremely difficult to unscrew. A little oil rubbed into the threads before you use it helps a lot, but even then you don't want to tighten it down too much. If you intend to keep it attached permanently, the ring is fine.

Hard to get off of lens some times. But not much choice of step-down rings. I use with a macro adapter on my tele zoom. A SMALL dusting and wiping of graphite powder and it comes off of the lens easier.
