Review: Great book, great training plans. Highly recommended. - I used the 55-70 mile plan to train for both a Boston qualifier and then Boston. I ended up with a solid PR of 3:13 at age 52 at Boston. I think the book's information/explanation and training plans are excellent and will put you in a very good place on race day. My experience is that some of the speed work is difficult to hit in training... for example, I usually failed to be able to do the marathon pace runs at marathon pace, but tried to simply do them a little faster than usual. All in all though, this was exactly the book I needed to take my training and racing up a notch. Highly recommended.
