Will using the aux-in also transmit to the other speakers?** A: The short answer is YES it does transmit to the other speakers. The long answer is the master D3x speaker must be the speaker with the cable physically connected in order for the signal to transmit to the additional D3x speakers. I own three D3x speakers and one DSx subwoofer. **Q: does the multi channel 3.1 audio set up of these speakers work when streaming movies from my pc via bluetooth bt-d1 usb adaptor** A: Yep. I connect my pc to the speakers and the HDMI cable from the pc to the tv and I get sound from both (speakers and tv). And regarding the BT-D1, yes. It will work. **Q: Will this work with my iphone5 and Mac without using the wireless transmitter?** A: I'm not sure what you mean by wireless transmitter, but if your phone and mac have bluetooth capabilities, you will be able to connect wirelessly to this speaker. **Q: Does it work with the iPhone five?** A: Sue - it should work with any device that has bluetooth on it. The internal volume signal could be a bit stronger, but use of volume control on other devices such as your smartphone or ipod can compensate for the slightly under powered internal volume signal produced by the unit itself. I'd say that the D3x is overpriced by itself unless you plan on adding another D3x and DSx (subwoofer) to make it a complete system. I own three D3x speakers and one DSx subwoofer.D3x speakerPros:sound qualitywireless (excluding power adapter for product)aux input for a 3.5mm connectionported enclosure for increased bassauto turns on and off additional components that are connected to the primary D3x speakerCons:internal volume control could be strongerPairing your media device with the first D3x speaker.1. Pair your media device to the D3x speaker and establish a bluetooth connection. You CAN'T pair your media device to the DSx subwoofer. I won't go into specifics for pairing to a media device, but if you need help with the basic pairing of a bluetooth device to a media device, you tube offers a lot of videos that can help you with step 1.Now on to linking your D3x speaker with at least one other D3x speaker and/or DSx subwoofer.2. Hold the link button on the D3x for about 3 to 4 seconds until the LCR led indicators start flashing now go to your DSx subwoofer, which you should have already plugged up and hold the one button on the back of the DSx subwoofer for 3 to 4 seconds. A little white led will appear towards the top front right corner of the subwoofer, but don't release the button on the back of the DSx subwoofer until the white led starts flashing.3. With the DSx subwoofer led flashing, release the button on the back and within a few seconds the led on the DSx subwoofer should stop flashing and become solid. Now your DSx subwoofer is paired to the D3x speaker.4. At this point return to the D3x speaker that's been paired to your media device and press the link button to end linking mode or you can wait for roughly 1 minute for it to stop itself.Linking your D3x speaker with two D3x speakers and a DSx subwoofer.5. The reason why the D3x speaker doesn't end linking mode immediately after connecting the subwoofer is because if you have a second or third D3x speaker, then you can go to each of those speakers while the LCR is still flashing on the first D3x and hold each of their link buttons for 3 to 4 seconds to make their LCR led indicators start flashing. The difference with the second and third D3x speakers is that once you activate linking mode for them, they'll respond like the DSx subwoofer did and link themselves to the first D3x speaker, leaving one solid led lit on each additional D3x speaker on the left or center channel.6.After linking a third D3x speaker, the LCR led indicators from the first (primary) D3x will still be flashing, so just press the link button to end the linking mode or wait roughly 1 minute.7. Things to note is that the LCR represents left, center and right channels. The primary speaker that is paired to the media device is always designated as the right channel and known as the master control. The second paired D3x speaker will be designated as the left channel and the third D3x speaker will be designated as the center channel. The DSx subwoofer doesn't have any identifying indicator other than the solid white led on the DSx subwoofer itself, which indicates that it's connected to the primary D3x speaker.8.Other things to keep in mind are that the DSx subwoofer, second and third D3x speaker respond to the controls of the first D3x speaker with the exception of the bass control knob on the DSx subwoofer that can be used to add additional bass or take some away.9. Whenever you want to add or take away an additional component to your system, you have to erase the memory on each component to your system. Make sure that the power is off for each device and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds. For the D3x speakers, all led indicators will flash and then turn off. For the DSx subwoofer, the white led will flash and then turn off as well.10. Once you've established your initial links, you can then hold the link button to toggle back and forth between party mode and individual channel mode. What this means is that party mode will make each D3x speaker play all three channels together versus individual channel mode that will break down the music based on the designated channel that is determined during the linking process. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Nice for what it is... *by R***T on Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2012* For $100 this is a great wireless speaker. Is A2DP Bluetooth perfect in terms of high quality sound...no. Understanding that, this unit ROCKS. I have had no issues with connectivity or any functions. The unit is unobtrusive, blending into my kitchen environment unseen by all but the keenest eyes. After initial testing and enjoyment, I added a plug to supply power above my kitchen cabinets. The unit hides up there in sleep mode. When I come home I connect to the unit via the smartphone Bluetooth and the unit wakes up without having to climb up there (10ft ceilings so unit is 8.5 feet high) and begins playing. I would have to power on if we had a power failure since I have no backup on this line, but that is a minor inconvenience. Overall very happy with the unit and considering upgrading to 1.1 or 2.0. As a 1.0 system it is more than enough volume for my ~400 sq foot kitchen/breakfast room and works nicely for background music in adjacent rooms with some reduced sound quality (walls block the crisp sound, no fault of the unit). I tested the Bluetooth and it functions perfectly from up to ~50 feet through 5 walls in my house on same floor. I have not tested functionality from another floor in the house but I suspect it will work fine at least up to the advertised range. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU ARE NOT IN US!!! *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2014* The description states it includes "universal AC adapter, regional plug adapter(s)" but in my case that wasn't true.I received the first shipping with wrong addapters, then i had to ship it back for getting the correct ones, amazon ensured me that the next shipment would have the correct regional addapters, yet it was false too, additional wrong addapters were shipped.By now, I had to run with the expenses of shipping the first package back to the US (45€) Amazon states that they will refund that money, that didn't happened yet.I sent a new mail to amazon stating my disconfort and asking what was going on. their answer was basically not trusting me and asking me to contact them by phone for some "security issues in my account". They state that the call is toll free, but thats not the case if you are not in the US.So they are basically asking me to run with more of the costs of their own errors, I'm not willing to do so, so I'm waiting for another options.In the meantime, I'm contacting creative for trying to solve this issue. Although Amazon answered me that it is not possible to ship only the adequate plugs addaptors, ‘‘IT SEEMS THE OPTION DOES EXISTS!!
