One side of my mug is 6 2/16”; the other side of the same mug measures 6 3/16”. I imagine that some mugs might be 6 1/16”. It’s not noticeable to the naked eye. I didn’t even think about it until I measured it with a ruler. My disappointment is that I like a lot of liquid in my mug and I searched for “large mugs”. The circumference is not very big, so it doesn’t hold as much liquid as I had hoped.
