Are they rust proof?** A: they are zinc plated (not hot dipped) steel. Expect rusting after a few year's exposure to weather. Worse in wet or salty climates, less in dry climates. Probably rust about as much as steel EMT. **Q: Can I use these with 1/2 Pex tubing?** A: Yes. They work well with 1/2" stainless tubing so I would think 1/2" pex would be no problem. **Q: are these made a heavy gauge steel and not really thin where they will bend easy?** A: As I recall, they are not thin metal like an EMT strap but heavier.
