It had £15 credit on it and as soon as you make a call or text it adds 25GB of data. You get a text to confirm this. Then a minute or too later, you get another text saying they added your 50GB bonus data. It also says this will continue to happen for 5 or 6 more £15 top ups (if you bother to top up at all). The data lasts 30 days max. At first I tried the SIM in an EE wifi hotspot device. But obviously in one of those, there is no way to actually make a call or send a text to activate the SIM and get your data. So I stuck it in my phone to do that part and then moved it back to the hotspot device after activation - which works fine. I can see how this process could be a bit confusing, because it's not really explained very well. But once you know what to do I think it's decent value for what it is. From 6th June 2023 EE will be introducing roaming charges for customers that want to use their pay as you go allowances in the EU. Customers will be able to choose between a daily charge option and a 7-day add-on to cover their roaming needs. When a customer lands in an EU country EE will text them everything they need to know. But once you know what to do I think it's decent value for what it is. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect *by G***. on 12 April 2026* Works straight away when fitted to my router in the caravan ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am now happy, but there was a BIG PROBLEM to activate the Sim *by R***R on 23 January 2026* I ordered this with the assumption that it had £15 pounds worth of credit when activated. Only it would not activate and just told me there was no credit so I could not set it up. I kept thinking I was doing something wrong because I have a contract phone with EE and its fine and wanted this for someone who is going into hospital for an op and thought it would help. In the end I phoned EE on 150 and spoke to a woman who was great. It appears there is an issue with some Sim cards, in fact it appears she had been at a meeting the day before where this issue was discussed. If seems some Sim cards are getting blocked and not activated and then you cant do a thing and you have to contact EE to get them activated again. Once I gave her all the details she was able to get the Sim up and running and the data limits set to the amount as described. Where I live EE is by far the best option for a mobile phone, and I am now happy with my purchase and I was very happy indeed with the woman I spoke to at EE who sorted out the problems. Had someone not been as helpful and friendly I would have not given this 4 stars.
