These books will never be obsolete. I have kept all his Richard Scarry books as he asked me to. This one and 3 others by Richard Scarry I purchased for my Nephews 3 children ages 2 and 3-1/2 year old twins. I have yet to meet a parent or child who does not enjoy reading any Richard Scarry book. They are not only informative but the cute animals that take the place of people doing people things in their town or elsewhere make learning a joy for Pre K and up. I highly recommend any Richard Scarry book. The child who receives it will thank you again and again. I being a grandma of 4 boys enjoy looking at them from time to time.
