Not sure about mortor application personally, but can't see why it wouldn't. My brother’s bathtub soap dish had detached from the wall. I wanted to ensure it did not do that again. The tutorial referred to this adhesive. It showed how to use it. This brand is easy to use. You can use it out of the container. In my case, I had to mix it with the quickset. And then I rig something up to hold it in place for 24 hours. So far. No problems at all. There is one thing to keep in mind. This product has a one-year shelf life. So get one that is not near its expiration date. The one I got had seven months left. Needless to say, I used it right away. Other than that, this product is excellent for attaching bathroom ceramic fixtures to a wall. For the first time, do-it-yourselfers Search online before installing a fixture. This product is easy to use.
