That would be a frosted sphere. This is a nice hand blown glass sphere, the base is polypro, but does just fine with an LED bulb. This lamp does the trick perfectly, paired with a Magic Light Bluetooth version(hand no luck with WIFI version), I have my own personal programmable sun. Needs the phone app to operate, but my phone is always charging bedside at night. And you can still use it as a lamp and for entertaining with the multi color features.
