El libro tiene un buen nivel de detalle sobre los diversos aspectos como patrones de extensión de agile, las resistencias al cambio individuales y organizativas, la autogestión de los equipos o como planificar sprints en contextos multi-equipo. Lo único que me retiene de ponerle 5 estrellas es quizás que podría ir algo más allá con los ejemplos de herramientas, pero sin duda es muy difícil contentar a todos los tipos de lectores, y ya es imposible afrontar con detalle todos los contextos de empresas donde se comienza a aplicar agile, pues "cada empresa es un mundo". Seit ich einen Blick in seine Bücher geworfen habe, habe ich wirklich verstanden was agile ist und warum es so wichtig ist. Er hat immer den Focus auf dem Business-Aspekt und nicht primär auf der Programmierung. Erst nach dem Studium seiner Bürcher war mir klar, was "UnitTests" eigentlich sind: Anforderungsdokumente in Code-Form. Erst mit dieser Erkenntnis machen Continuous Integration und andere darauf aufbauende Dinge wirklich Sinn. Dieses Buch zeichnet sich durch eine noch stärkere Focussierung auf die praktischen Aspekte aus und gibt den anderen Büchern einen passenden Rahmen. Hier werden selbst die allerneusten (und meist offenen) Diskussionen der Scrum Gemeinde mit praktischen Erfahrungen kombiniert und man bekommt die so dringend benötigten Antworten. Obwohl Scrum einfache Regeln kennt, stellen sich bei der ersten praktischen Umsetzung viele offene Fragen. Mike's Bücher können hierbei wie Kochrezepte eingesetzt werden. Viel besser aber noch sind seine "Pro und Contra" Betrachtungen, die klar aufzeigen, mit welchen Konsequenzen man rechnen darf und warum er letztendlich dem einen oder anderen den Vorzug gibt. Hierbei ist er immer pragmatisch und nie dogmatisch. Ein echter Scrum Coach halt. Auf jeder Seite dieses Buches findet sich echtes und vor allem aktuelles Erfahrungswissen (verschiedenste Projekte der letzten vier Jahre; plus neuste Erkenntnisse nach der Veröffentlichung der letzten beiden Bücher). Das er mit den Großen der Internet-Branche zusammenarbeitet ist nur einer der für mich interessanten Aspekte dabei. Bei der vorliegenden Anzahl an Seiten für den Preis auf jeden Fall ein echtes Schnäppchen. Ich gehe davon aus, daß dieses Buch sich über Jahre als die neue Scrum Bibel etablieren wird.
