It's pretty hard on the skin. This product is very soothing, and it keeps my skin from splitting around my thumbnails -- just about the only thing it does. A good word about the seller --- The seller mistakenly sent a bottle of cleanser along when I should have received two lotions. I reported it to Amazon, and it seemed like the seller replied by return mail. Apologized, said to keep the cleanser, and immediately sent another bottle of lotion. The replacement got to me sooner than I expected. And the good seller apologized again for the mistake (which he really didn't need to do). So, I can't recommend the seller highly enough!
