Gluten is a problem for a lot of dogs so as soon as I noticed the itching I stopped feeding gluten as that has stopped the itching on other dogs. But several years ago, I had an adult Shepherd that was being given allergy shots but he had such dry skin it would bleed just by cracking. My vet sold a vitamin B supplement then and just adding that stopped the itching and ended the need for allergy shots. Thank goodness for desertcart and all the products they carry so I could research the choices and this is the one I chose and will continue to use as long as she doesn’t start itching again but no sign of going back to that. No problems getting her to eat it at all. Her coat wasn’t in bad shape before but after a month of this it is noticeably thicker and longer and her skin is soft with no itching. The vet put him on medication for his kennel cough and an expensive capsules for his skin irritations and said that he would have to be on these for life and the reason he was on the street maybe because of all these skin problems.
