These cut the thinnest braid with no line tension anywhere along the blade length. I had high expectations and they met those easily.

I purchased the Large size. Opened them up and cut 20# braid like butter. 30# mono like butter. Cable ties like butter. I opened them as far as I could in my single hand and there is 100% NO WAY they come apart. Yea, if you use both hands and open them all the way up, they do come apart for cleaning. Unless you have green giant hands, you will not be able to open them one handed and lose them on the water like others said. Maybe the smaller ones.., but def not these large. Now, I purchased them only to cut bait on my boat as I found this is much less messy. I will try them for bait next weekend. I’ll update if they are not good for bait. Otherwise know they were fine. The handles are perfect size and comfortable. Durable like all bubba products. When I use any metal products in salt water, I wash with soap and spray with silicon spray.Update- used them last weekend on the boat for cutting mullet and lady fish. Worked well. Did what I needed to. I cannot compare to others since these are the only brand I have used for cutting bait. I’m curious whether pruning shears for trees/bushes would work better.

Like other Bubba products, these are solid, good feel when using them. Good grip.Only comnent...they seem to come apart very easy. Yes they are designed to do just that, which I like. But put them in my pocket while baiting rods at the sand spikes, reached into the pocket to remove them and they came out in two pieces. Not sure how, but would prefer they didn't come apart quite so easy.Still using, still new so don't know about longevity.Moved from EMS/trauma scissors to these. Big improvement.Overall, would buy them again.

Good size and very sharp. Works great for my husband who is a fishing guide and has to make up tackle.
