And I decided on these. They're fairly cheap but they didn't look especially cheap, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. And when I got them, they were so... honestly, cheap feeling. They just don't have much heft to them. The metal seems a bit thin. The plastic handles are comfortable but don't look like they were made for longevity. The saying "looks can be deceiving" was never so true. These are great scissors. They cut really well, without fail. They are incredibly sharp. If you do something stupid like I did and use them for the wrong purpose, you'll find out just how sharp. I sliced my finger almost to the bone. They work lefty or righty and the handles are sturdier than they look. I don't remember exactly when I bought them but it's been at least 6 months and they see a fair amount of use, and there's no indication that they'll work any less well with time. And with four pairs, I don't see myself ever having to buy scissors again. Well worth the price.
