Quality is first rate. **Q: Shouldn't these be notched for the blade teeth differential?** A: The setup bars you're thinking of are Carter-branded. They're notched for the teeth, so the bar stays flat against the band saw blade. Those also have a magnet next to the notch so they can stick to the blade or stay together when stacked. Sadly, sticking the magnet of the setup bar to the blade causes the markings on the setup bar to face the fence. Also, the number of bars in the Carter set is very small, (5 bars total) meaning you get far fewer bar sizes. This EANOSIC set has about three times as many bar sizes included and it also includes a 1-2-3 block, which is useful for a wide variety of things. I originally got the Carter set first, but using them became annoying. Now I'm back on here to buy a bigger set like this one. I finally decided it's too much hassle to frequently do the fractional math in your head for combining multiple bars of the Carter set to create any value other than the 5 bar sizes. With a big set like this one, you just grab the bar that matches the size you want and you're done. Plus, it's easy to get around the lack of a magnet and a notch. I always used the bars sitting on the table surface between the fence and the blade so the magnet was never really needed. Instead of the notch, you just slide the bar so it touches the blade but doesn't touch the teeth. So, my advice is to save a little money and get 3x as many sizes of bars, by buying a set like this one.
