They last a long time. Very easy to install. I haven't had any problems with leaking. I did have an issue getting the system open to change the filter. I contacted customer service and tge representative, Harper, was extremely helpful and very fast in their response. If you are also having issues getting it open, lay the system down on its side (with a towel under it) and use the little wrench to open it. It took me a few tries, but I finally did get it open, thanks to Harper's help. I sent me a video demonstrating it. Very helpful.
