Tasty but calorific...
Great taste and very versatile BUT high in calories so don't be tempted to use this instead of raw onions in all your cooking unless your hips can afford the extra luggage.

These are great to have in the food cupboard in case you run out of fresh onions. I've used them extensively to cook curries, chilli con carne, stews and casseroles.

A bag of crispy fried onions
There are a number of packs of crispy fried onions on the market and I've tried quite a few of them. These are my favourite. They have a delightful nutty oniony flavour and, even though they are fried, they don't have a great amount of oil residue on them that can impact the flaovour. They go well with a great many dishes, I use them as a basis for many dishes including soups, stews of quick stir fry. If you're looking for a tasty onion flavour without the greasiness then you can't go wrong with these. I big bag and good value.
