Fantastic knife and great value

Like others have said it's a little heavy, the grip is a little big, I'm 5.10 and it fit ok in my hand, works very well, I have cleaned 6 walleye 30 crappie in 2 days during a Vacation and decided to charge to make sure and it was still pretty much full, took 5 mins to charge. Cuts very good, 1st time using it I took the fish home as to not embarrass myself cleaning my 1st fish Infront of all the people 😂, it was actually very easy and I stayed at the cleaning station after that. I would recommend for the money compared to the others it's a very good product!! A++

Works great for cleaning several fish at a time. Cuts the cleaning process time down tremendously. The battery life could be a little longer though. It does seem to charge fairly fast though. The breathable pouch is great too. It allows the unit to dry better if you put it up before it is good and dry after cleaning, plus it helps keep everything in one place if you keep the charger in the bag with it.

Was ok while it worked, but in less than a year, after only a handful of uses it died. I took apart to try and fix and it looks like there are vents on the side of the handle that let moisture in. When wiping down handle after used some water entered the base and coroded the battery connection. Not worth the time or dime to repair. Also, it only works when unplugged, so if it is dying on you it wont work until chaged a bit, bummer if you have only a few slices left to do. It was marketed as a fishing filet knife, though not designed to be able to wash the fish guts off w/o damaging it. Live and learn.

J’attendais d’avoir arrangé un certain nombre de poissons avant de faire des commentaires. Ça travaille très bien. Ça coupe bien. La lame est tranchante et l’ensemble est de très bonne qualité. La puissance fameuse et la charge très durable. La poignée assez grosse mais ne nuit pas à la manipulation. L’étui pour l’entreposer est ventilé. Ce qui s’avère très efficace pour éviter les senteurs après nettoyage. Toutefois pour le prix j’aurais bien aimé un autre kit de lame comme proposé par la concurrence. Je le recommande.

I have been using an old (I mean 1970’s old) corded kitchen electric knife to fillet fish over the last few years, which served the purpose of speeding up the filleting process, however not very convenient, so I had been shopping around for a good cordless option in a knife specifically designed for this task. The price of some of the more common name brands had been scaring me away from making a purchase, but after reading reviews and watching some video demonstrations online, I decided to give the Old Timer knife a try, and so far I am very pleased with the purchase. Blades are very sharp, and easy to install and remove. The trigger lock is a nice safety feature. Some have mentioned the handle being a bit large, and I could see this being a bit of an issue for people with smaller hands, but it is the trade off necessary to have a quality rechargeable lithium battery. As for the battery, I have not tested it fully to see exactly how long it would last, but it easily takes care of my daily limit of walleye with ease. From everything I have experienced so far, I would definitely recommend this knife to those who may have been tentative due to higher costs of similar products.
