I took the plunge and got it. We've had several trees cut down in the last year and use them in the fireplace. They catch and burn so much better when split. The thing that gets me is the ease to use it. Log on. Push the button. Pull the handle. It splits easy. No physical effort whatsoever. I would have gotten it sooner had I known how easy it is. This is a nice one. And if you have any issues with shipping or how to use it, their customer service can't be beat. They're very helpful and very communicative. Only issue, it's very heavy. This is NOT a 3 phase system. I also use a wood stove to heat our house. Really depends on how small you want for your stove. I found that it’s difficult to cut very small slivers. As we’ve gotten older, the larger rental machines were too much for us to manage then along comes this sweet 6.5 ton electric Bilt Hard! Wow! We had a cord of wood delivered, well it was the 3rd cord for cold Ohio Winter of 2026! The first two cords didn’t need more splitting but the 3rd cord had beast sized large chunks!
