It didnt look used and it was sealed. Now, for the lipstick itself, it has become my daily driver. It is great for south asian brown skinned girlies. The perfect muted nude especially for someone like me who has pigmented lips. It goes on very nice and comfortable on the lips, doesnt accentuate lip lines and feels very similar to mac's powder matte lipsticks. It lasts as long as any other lipstick. Definitely fades when you eat but again, not a deal breaker for me since I can just apply it again.
