Clothes come out very soft with a pleasant, very mild scent. My clothes last a lot longer when I wash them with Woolite. To me that's money saved, even if Woolite is a lot more expensive than what you'd pay for the "rougher" laundry liquids. **Q: Can you use on silk?** A: I have never used it on silk, but I use it on almost everything else. If you can wash it in cold water, I would assume you could use it on silk on the gentle cycle. Hope this helps. **Q: What makes this “he” ok while original woolite is not? If I watered down my original woolite would it be safe for my “he” machine?** A: Because HE (High Efficiency) machines require a low-sudsing detergent, it is recommended that a HE detergent, is used in these machines. Also, the tumble action of front-loading, high efficiency washers creates more suds than the agitator actions of traditional washers. I used to buy it at Costco and they no longer carry it and the grocery stores are very expensive for a small bottle. One issue with this order is that it leaked, I had it shipped to my office so it didn't sit on my porch and I knew as soon as the driver left it that it leaked so I opened it up and cleaned the mess. Maybe a half of a load leaked but what a mess it is. Not going to give less stars as something liquid being sent by mail or Amazon has a chance of breaking open or leaking!
