I’d ask the manufacturer if I were you **Q: Can 2 100mm plastic connectors be fitted into the lid to allow it to be used as dust collector between table saw and vac?** A: It needs a cyclonic separator and a vacuum release valve if it is to be used as you intend. The seperator is needed otherwise the sawdust will be sucked in and straight out. The release valve stops the barrel collapsing if the suction tube becomes blocked **Q: What is the little red tab for please. Does one have to remove it to seal the lid to the barrel?** A: I don't know what the red tab is for. It is not required for the barrel to be used.
