However, every wick from the batch I ordered was bad. They soot and sputter like crazy. I almost had a fire because it threw sparks about 5 feet away onto a roll of paper towels. **Q: What size container should I use with this size wick?** A: Best I remember the wicks burn about 3" in diameter. If your container is much bigger in diameter that that, you might want to use 2 or 3 wicks. **Q: Are the wicks dipped in soy wax, or some other wax?** A: These are coated in Paraffin wax. The only other thing these are made with is cotton (on the inner layer of the wicks). This was a great question! I hope this helps! :) **Q: Is this a good for tea lights or votive size? Thanks** A: You’ll be able to cut the wicks to the size you’d need for tea or votive candles but you may be able to find a shorter size in a larger quantity for a similar price rather than wasting so much of the 8 inch wick ## Frequently Bought Together - EricX Light 8 inch Candle Wick with Candle Wick Stickers and Candle Wick Centering Device,60 pcs for Candle Making - American Soy Organics Freedom Soy Wax Beads for Candle Making - Natural Candle Making Supplies - Paraffin-Free, Beeswax-Free Candle Wax for Container Candles, Tealights and Wax Melts, 10 lbs - EricX Light 100 Piece Cotton Candle Wick 6" Pre-Waxed for Candle Making,Candle DIY --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.uy/products/43538428-ericx-light-8-candle-wicks-kit-with-stickers-and-centering](https://www.desertcart.uy/products/43538428-ericx-light-8-candle-wicks-kit-with-stickers-and-centering) --- *Product available on Desertcart Uruguay* *Store origin: UY* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
