Review: Bianchi Comes Through Again! - This holster is exactly what I wanted. I have a Ruger GP100, 3" barrel, Wylie Clapp Edition .357 Magnum revolver. They're hard to find a holster for, with the 3" barrel. I looked at the few that are available, but wasn't really satisfied with the look, or sometimes, the price. I'm also left-handed, so I have an additional challenge. I have a stainless Ruger GP100, with a 6" barrel also. I have a Bianchi model 5BHL for it, and it's beautiful. So, I searched Bianchi again for this revolver, and was happy to find the 111 Cyclone, especially in a left-hand model (#12677). I love the finish and color of Bianchi tan leather. The fit is perfect. For those who say it's too tight, it should be, at first. My solution, as others have mentioned: Use a good quality leather conditioner on it. Let it soak in, and moisturize the leather. Then, put the revolver in the holster. You WILL have to work to get the snap in place the first few times. Leave it snapped, with the revolver in it, for a few days. Problem solved, and it'll be a perfect fit. This is a great holster. I've worn it strong-side, and cross-draw. It works great, either way. Holds close to your side, and doesn't flop around. It's easily concealable, and comfortable when I sit down. I wore it for a few hours, and honestly forgot about it after an hour or so. I'd highly recommend this holster. As far as the "Made in Mexico" labeling, that really doesn't bother me. I've been to Mexico several times, and they are known for excellent leatherwork and craftsmanship. No, these aren't the Bianchi holsters from the 70's or 80's, but I have no problem purchasing these new-era models. They're still fine pieces of leather and craftsmanship.
Review: Colt Python 6” snap flap - If you have a Python 6” bbl, be aware that when this holster arrives, the thumb snap will probably not easily be engaged. At least, that was my experience, and that of several others posting reviews. Some reviews say they trimmed the leather to fit between the trigger and frame. I don't advise this, as it could create a snag point when drawing the weapon. I want the leather over the hammer spur. This both ensures no snagging the spur on something, or having the snap snag between hammer and frame. This solution is fairly easy without altering the leather, and thus leaving the thumb retainer covering the spur, instead of sliding between it and the frame. Unload and double check your Python, you are about to manhandle it. Cut a square out of a freezer bag, just big enough to cover the hammer. You could also just lube the hammer. The idea is to prevent any moisture from affecting the hammer. Slightly moisten the leather strap, inside and outside, where it curves over the hammer. Holster the Python, press it down hard into the holster, insulate the hammer from moisture. Using both hands, stretch and force the snap to snap. It will appear impossible at first, keep trying, press the Python hard and deep into the holster, force the snaps together. After about a minute of struggling, I finally got the snap to snap. Don't use pliers or tools, you might damage the leather or scratch the beautiful finish of the Phthon! Leave it alone for a day or two. Unsnap and try to re-snap it. It will be easier. If it is not easy enough, do the same process again, but fold a piece of paper a few times and use it to add thickness between the hammer spur and leather strap. Repeat the snap-and-wait process. The second time was the charm for me. The Python fits perfectly, the snap strap covers the spur and holds with zero movement, and.. I can snap and unsnap with just my thumb. Pain in the rear? Yes, but worth it. It's a great, lined holster, and now fits perfectly.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this fit a heritage 22 rough rider**
A: It would be a very poor fit. The frames are just too different.

**Q: Can this holster be trimmed where the sights go? i have a s&w 629 44 mag with parallax sights and need a good holster.**
A: Yes. I have a red-dot reflex sight in my 629, and I cut a section out of my holster. I used a fine toothed hacksaw blade, and sealed/stained the leather edges with 'super-glue'. It turned out great.

**Q: Will this fit a Model 57 classic with a 6” barrel?**
A: Yes, this holster will fit a Model 57 with a 6” barrel.

**Q: Will it fit a 686 with 6 inch barrel?**
A: Probably not it is designed for the larger N fran not the L frame 686
