Mine is mounted on the wall. **Q: Can i cut this with a reqular knife to size?** A: It’s quite strong so you’d probably need a handsaw. We overloaded the hanger with over 10 coats, heavy school bags and the hooks felt strong and secure. Therefore doubt it can be cut with a regular knife but can’t be certain **Q: Can you tell me what size the plug is to drill** A: You have two options: 5.5mm for red plugs or 14mm for a 10mm rawl bolt. If you’re referring to plugs delivered with this item which may be white, try measuring the width of it. **Q: Can you tell me what this item is made from? In the description it says wood, but many of the reviews refer to it being plastic - Thanks** A: I am not sure. It looks more like plastic than wood if you look at it really close. It is a high quality item. It wears sooo well. It is up on my wall for a long time and it still looks brand new. It looks expensive and nice.
