I would keep a pair in your car as well for the same reasaon. There is no need for a tool for every job, particularly this very very simple one. There is NO BENEFIT of this tool and it will just be another piece of landfill in 1 years time that takes 10,000 years to disintegrate. There is little to no benefit over a twig or multi-tool already at most cyclists disposal...and way less useful than latex gloves. **Q: Can someone steal the £12.00 device off your bike - easy as? How often would it ever be used (in a month, say) that it is strapped to the bike?** A: Yes it would be very easy for someone to steal off your bike, but I think it would be very unlikely, if your that worried, it is small enough to fit in your pocket. I've carried mine on three different bikes and only had to use it a few times, the strap has broken, but it is small enough to carry. When I have had to use it, it's been great, quick and easy to use, and the bonus of still having clean hands afterwards. **Q: Is it strong enough to pull chain out from behind cassette or jammed inside the chainset agaist the bottom brackets?** A: Yes it's pretty good as long as you can hook it in the chain - used it only the other day when my gears slipped. **Q: what's the point of this tool?** A: It’s simple really, if your chain falls off, turn your bicycle upside down so that the seat is resting on the ground or better still, grass. Now you can turn the pedals, you must lift the chain with the rebook and place it on the gear wheel, don’t touch the wheel with your fingers or you’ll get oil on your fingers.Keep trying , you’ll soon get the hang of it!
