Saphir's Creme Polish would be #08 Bordeaux (Burgundy). Saphir #09 Mahogany is much lighter in color and has a more brownish hue. Saphir #10 Cognac is lighter yet and has a very light brown hue. These polishes, including Lincoln's Marine Cordovan Stain Wax are for regular calfskin leather shoes, not cordovan leathers. My best suggestion to you would be the Saphir #08 Burgundy. It is a very deep red with slight hints of purple. I think this is the color you want for regular calf leather. If you want a spit-shine, mirror finish, you'll need to put a top coat of high gloss Cordovan Stain Wax or Neutral Wax over the Saphir Creme Polish. Saphir Creme has the most pigment of any polishes available, but it does not polish to a glass finish, because of all the leather conditions it contains.
