Review: Easy to Apply and pretty close to wood colour - purchased a full sized after testing - For context I'm just a DIYer not a experienced professional! I bought this specifically for its water repellant properties and I wanted a coating that would not add to much colour to the wood as I like the lightness of the natural wood and I don't like the 'wet' effect. This little sachet of product is really useful to test out the effect before buying a full size and I'd definitely recommend buying it to see if it suits your purposes. I used the packet to coat the edge of an off cut of my solid Beech worktop. I had enough to do 2 coats (2nd coat applied after 24hrs). I applied it with a microfibre cloth and rubbed it into the wood. See picture for the results. It did slightly darken the wood, but it actually looks darker in the picture than in real life. The wood has a nice smooth feeling and does look matt rather than 'wet'. It is water resistant as I dotted some water on an uncoated section of wood and soaked in vs sitting on top for the coated section.
