**Q: which strap should I get for engineered oak flooring?**
A: I used the 4 of the 633773 clamps successfully with a floating engineered oak floor glued along the joints.

**Q: I wish to make shed door from tongue and grove soft 12mm soft wood. Are the lips deep enough to cover 12mm thick timber**
A: I bought 3 of these for when I was laying a laminate floor. I only ever opened one, as I found them to be as good as useless. The straps, when tightened, pull the plates upwards and the cone off the planks.
If you are making a door using t&g planks, this will not work for you, as you need to leave a 1 to 2 millimetre gap between each of the boards to allow for natural expansion and contraction of the wood. If you pull then tight together, your door will warp.
