I put these on my tether ball pole along with the tether ball and they work great. The kids can easily switch from playing tether ball to swatting a tennis ball. This earned me the coveted "Best grandma ever" award.

I would rate this 0 stars if I could: These balls all broke within the first week of use. They broke where the rubber was glued between the two halves. Would not recommend this product and will not buy from this vendor again.

I needed to replace the ball on my gamma tennis trainer, as the ball was well dead and the rubber band rope was starting to break regularly. This product came up with 6 refill balls for a trainer. I have to say this is not bad at all. I've already given it a try and there are a few things to note. First of all, the balls are in great shape, bouncy, thick coated and not dead. They have an elastic hook sewn into them so I think they mostly bounce as good if not better than what came with the trainer. They also have a clip that makes it easy to attach to the trainer as seen in the pic. Also the string is the elastic kind but with a coating, like you see with hair ties. This I think will make it less prone to breaking. However one potential drawback might be that the rope doesn't stretch as much, which may be fine as I felt I needed to shorten the stock gamma stringed ball, since it didn't return fast enough. This comes back plenty fast (maybe too fast). The other thing to pay attention to is that the strings come only loosely tied. I found out the hard way as my first ball came off after a few hits. The pics show that they come set up with string in a loop but not tied down. I think this is to allow one to adjust the length but also to reinforce that you must tie the string thru the loop or it may come off. This may also need to be checked on the hook side. I had to retie that one with a loop as well. These niggles aside, I think this is a superior replacement for the gamma ball on the trainer. If you feel the ball comes back too fast, I suppose you could sacrifice one ball to link 2 strings together. And even if the string has come off, it doesn't look difficult to put it back through the loop on the ball. I personally like how quickly it returns the ball and feels like it has totally refreshed my equipment. Update 9.6.24: these are great trainer replacements but you do need to redo both knots (ball and trainer end). I've figured out that a slipknot is all u really need (google how to do). The string works well and usually outlasts the balls, which stay bouncy even past the cover life (I've literally ripped the covers off some). If the string pulls out, you can rethread the balls easily as they have a stitched loop to hold the string and not one of those loops has given away so far. Overall great balls that we are still using to this day.
