They are very helpful in retaining shoe size. The one caution I would have is not to size up. Instead, get your usual size or size down 1/2 size. I got my brother size 11 for his 10.5 feet, and they wouldn’t fit inside his shoes. The size 10 fit very well. I’ve been buying various shoe trees for 40 years, and these are by far the best.
