You will need to replace the guard. The most likely cause of the problem is the spool and ratchet was not set correctly. You will need to remove the spool cover as explained in video, then remove the spool, untangle the individual cords/lines and rewind them. Replace the spool carefully passing the cords through their individual holes provided and pressing the spool back in place. Rotate the spool until it engages the ratchet and stops turning, then replace the cover. If done correctly you will not be able to pull out more line without pressing the ratchet release button on the side. Once releasing this button, pull on each of the cords together until you hear the ratchet reset. You should now be good to go. **Q: Does it have a two buttn start mechanism so it will not start accidentally when you pirck it up?** A: No it has one lever under handle, there is a handle to carry it with, l have severe Arthritis in my hands and handle things awkwardly, but l have no problem with this and it has never started before l wanted it too.
