Feels like a heavy duty tool and did the job well on #10 and #8 wire ferrules.

Works on 4 gauge
Whoever said this doesn't work on 4 AWG is using it wrong or has the wrong size ferrules. I just quickly tested this on 4 gauge OFC from Sky High and the crimp holds fine. It's not the prettiest but this was just a preliminary evaluation of the product.

Perfect for smaller gage wire.
Looks like good quality. Used it twice so far, and the big challenge for me is that there is no ratcheting function which makes applying the pressure needed a little difficult for me at my age. Otherwise seems to work fine.

Works exactly as advertised
Great tool for the price. It creates solid, clean crimps on ferrules and makes wiring projects look professional. Used it for some automotive wiring and it worked perfectly.

This ratcheting crimping tool works great for connecting wire ferrules. Easy to use, seems very durable and well worth the cost.

Does an awesome job
This tool does an awesome job of crimping 6 and 8 gauge wire ferrules. very easy to use and easy to select the correct crimping size.

Perfect for the job and price
This was exactly what I needed to complete my pump motor replacement job. I went to several local electrical places, but none had anything in stock or were so overly priced that it was beyond ridiculous. It only took a day to get the order

Completely useless for 4awg (25mm) crimps.Maybe other sizes are better.
Unfortunately this crimper is completely useless. At least for the 4awg wire it claims to be able to crimp. 4awg is by these Chinese manufacturers claims 25mm. When in fact is it just over 21mm in reality. I bought the HKS insulated ferrules and this HKS ferrule crimper. I crimped a couple different 4awg wires as tests just to see how it worked and each time the crimped end just pulled off. The only positive thing I will say about this crimper is it appears to be fairly robust. But being robust BUT never used is not a good thing.

Perfect for large connections
I used this on a solar project where I wanted to have nice neat connections rather than just jamming wires in. This press is perfect for those larger wire jobs where you're needing to carry a decent amount of amps across a long distance. I couldn't fault it, it crimped everything I threw at it and it looks like it'll be a keeper in my tool draw.
