**Q: Do they smear/smudge when you use highlighters over them?**
A: This is my favorite all time pen.  I have been using these pens for 10+ years now. It does not smear/smudge when highlighting over.

**Q: Are these oil-based inks?**
A: Theses are ballpoint pens so the ink is oil based. Rollerball pens are water based.

**Q: Where are they made? i.e. country? I've had great luck with Uniball made in Japan.**
A: They are made in Japan.

I really enjoy using these pens as they provide a smooth writing experience and I like the bold print. The pen feels sturdy in my hand and the grip feels comfortable. The ink flows readily and I have not noticed any leakage. I use these pens daily for my job which require a lot of writing. My only complaint is the ink runs out within about a month of daily heavy use. I know that there are replacement ink cartridges that can be purchased however, in my case, it is cheaper to just buy another box. For anyone needing a high-quality, well-made, smooth writing pen, these are a great option.
