This is important because the filter housing is a REALLY tight fit and the filter can easily be bent and compressed (as was the pair installed by the dealer). From the looks of it, a lot of dirt/dust got by the two filters because of the bend/compression. The two replacements went in tightly but did not bend or compress as did the dealer-installed filters. 2. The replacement filters have a layer of activated charcoal - a nice touch for the air we breathe in a confined interior space. 3. A terrific value - The dealer installed filters were $28 (4 years ago!) for the pair compared to just $12 for the new pair in 2024.
