You can set how much & how often. Perfect size, about the size of a coffee mug. I read some people complained about the sound but their hearing must be better than mine because I don't hear a thing. I charged it for the required, six hours and let it run all day. It's charging again now, but I think I'll just leave it plugged in since I'm not traveling with it. My only challenge was getting the stopper off the essential oil bottle. I read Google instructions and watched YouTube videos but what worked for me was my prescription vial cap opener. A bottle cap opener for soda might work the same way. After I got that figured out, it was easy peasy to pop the essential oil bottle into the diffuser and start it up. It runs for 3 hours and auto-stops. Just push the button to start another 3 hours. Cleaning instructions seem to be clear and easy. So far, this is perfect. It comes with two empty bottles to fill with your own oils each is a bit smaller than 1oz. I bought 3 more for the bedrooms at my Airbnb and they are all operating as expected. I love the size of it, it's rechargeable and waterless. it fills our house with essential oil scent.
