It can be confusing as it says on in the bottom left corner suggesting it is recording. I setup a time schedule, mounted it, and never looked back. Super easy, amazing video quality, and very affordable!

I thought at first there was a problem with the memory cards, so I bought new memory cards. Tested, worked fine. Then put in place and ran them for a while - now still nothing. Now it's past the return window and I'm just out a ton of money.

A: The TLC300 supports up to 128 GB SD card. Please remember to format the 64 GB and 128 GB SD cards to FAT32, or access the Menu-> Advanced-> Format SD card in advance if you first use them.

**Q: May I know how long can the battery power lasts?**
A: The battery life is tied to the interval you set. The shorter the time interval, the faster the battery life. For a 5-minute interval and using 4 AA alkaline batteries, battery life can last for 100 days. AA lithium batteries can also be used.

**Q: What is the minimum and maximum focus distance?**
A: The minimum focus distance is from 60 cm to infinity, it is fixed and cannot be adjusted.

**Q: Is the TLC300 waterproof?**
A: The TLC300 is not waterproof. You need to install it into the waterproof housing ATH120 for outdoor recording.

**Q: How do I know my camera is still recording? The LCD screen is off and it cannot be awakened during recording!**
A: The camera's front LED blinks Green every 10 seconds to show it's recording. If set below 10 seconds, the LED blinks according to the interval. For instance, a 1-sec interval makes the LED blink Green every second.

The Brinno BCC300-M is a dependable option for long-term time-lapse projects, especially outdoors. It delivers good results in normal lighting, and the included case feels sturdy enough for jobsite or weather-exposed setups. However, there are a few things users should watch for. Low-light performance is limited, and footage becomes noticeably grainy as the light drops. The front lens can also loosen over time if the camera is frequently adjusted; I learned the hard way and lost a full day of footage because the lens shifted out of focus. Previewing video on the device would be a helpful feature, as you currently need a computer to check your results. A built-in leveling guide for vertical and horizontal alignment would also make setup much easier. Overall, it is a very good time-lapse camera, as long as you know these limitations going in and double-check the lens before each shoot.
